Côte d'Ivoire and the apostille: what you need to know
At present, Côte d'Ivoire is not a party to the Apostille Convention. In practice, an Ivorian document going abroad must normally be legalized (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then the embassy of the destination country), and a foreign document for an Ivorian authority generally needs consular legalization rather than an apostille. Rules change, so we check the current procedure for every file.
When the apostille applies to you
Do you live in Côte d'Ivoire but hold a document issued in a member country (France, Belgium, USA, Canada, UK, Spain, Germany, Morocco, South Africa…) that must be used in another member country? An apostille can only be issued in the country of origin. Through our international network we request it locally, so you don't have to travel.
Apostille and translation
Depending on the countries involved, the apostille goes on the original before translation, on the certified translation, or on both. We tell you the correct order in the quote so your file is not rejected.
